I have been a performer since I was 3 years old as a dancer and as a theatre actor; I studied the arts all the way through college. However, I didn't find my calling until I become a clown with the worldwide known clown, Patch Adams. It was through clowning, that I opened my heart to so much love, humility, and empathy. Whether it was in long-term cancer patients or children in burn units, elders in hospice, children in orphanages, adults and young teens in prisons, I began to value the importance of being a ray of light to someone's life. I had underestimated the power of truly listening to someone and a smile of understanding.
