Hello, my name is Renessa! I am a current student at the College of Southern Nevada, where I maintain a 4.0 GPA while pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I previously worked as a compliance analyst for an international insurance software firm until I realized that I abhor sitting at a desk reading insurance regulations all day. I now plan to become a palliative care nurse where I can tend to not only the physical but emotional needs of individuals facing what may be the most challenging time of their lives. I am a very friendly, outgoing, and empathetic person that enjoys interacting with others. I prefer to spend time outside the home when possible, providing enrichment activities like trips to the library, picnics at a park, or local museums. I can also provide activities with a specific focus on strengthening or maintaining fine or gross motor skills. I have previously been first aid and CPR certified, it lapsed recently but I will be completing another session when in-person classes are available again. I am a non-smoker and love pets, especially big dogs! A current note- I have been mostly self-quarantining at home since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. My roommate is a physician, which requires us to take extreme precautions to keep our home safe, including wearing masks when outdoors and limited interaction with the public as to not infect her, and in turn put her patients at risk.
