Michelle’s Bio

Hi! My name is Michelle and I'm excited to share about myself and my experience and hopefully learn about your family and companion care needs, too!

For my own family, I have helped to take care of my grandfather for a length of time while he was sick and lived in our home, also while he was on hospice. Although nursing care came to our home and took care of most of my grandfather's physical needs, I helped assist with those, such as getting him in and out of bed to use the bathroom, changing his clothes, picking him up from the ground after he had fallen twice. Emotionally and mentally, I stayed by his side to play games and talk with him while he was still functioning for the better part of the end of his life. I also made him food and fed him, especially purple popsicles, which were his favorite treat.

I also have a grandmother who is now in a rehab/nursing home since having a stroke which has left her left side paralyzed. Before moving to LA last year, my sister and I would visit her a couple of times of week and spend time with her in the nursing facility, playing games, watching movies, talking, eating, and more. I also learned how to transport my grandmother from her wheelchair onto a wooden sliding board to put her in and out of her bed, as well as into my car when she would want to get out for lunch or shopping and have a little fun:)

In addition to the experience mentioned above, I have also helped be a companion to other elderly people in nursing homes and keep those company and give friendship to those who do not have family, or family who visit often. I love people of all ages and the elderly are especially dear to my heart.

I would love to learn about your family and companion care needs. Please feel free to message or email me if you find that I may be a match for you and your family. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile and I look very forward to hopefully connecting soon! Have a great day!!
