I became a companion care giver because I Truly LOVE Elderly people. I am from Central America and in our country we believe in taking care of the Elderly. In my opinion this is the only country that does not take care of the elderly unless you have money. My mother passed away 14 yrs ago, and I still miss her terribly, but because I did everything possible to take care of her I do not have any regrets. I have always enjoyed the company of elderly people because they have interesting stories of their past, and wisdom. I have a son away in college living in Ohio, so to fill the void of feeling empty, I
have an elderly 89 female neighbor that I became a companion care assistant for. I take her to all her doctor appointments/ grocery shopping/house cleaning and prepare meals. I love it.
