I became a caregiver three years ago and at first I was not sure if this was the right job for me. As time progressed I found myself working full time with two different clients. Both of which had different disabilities. I love working with people who are not capable of taking her of themselves. I get to teach them new ways of doing things and improving their abilities in life. I’ve worked with two clients that had autism. Both of which were very different. I enjoyed working with them because I was able to learn from both.
As of now I work with an lady in her 40’s who has trouble doing things on her own. I help her cook, clean, and manage her medication. She can be difficult at time just because she has the mentality of a child . But we always find a way to solve our problems.
