Last year I volunteered with Alzheimer's San Diego as a care companion and it was a very rewarding experience. I was very honored that the family I was assigned to allowed me into their home and allowed me to help them care for their mother who had Alzheimer's. Through this experience I learned the many responsibilities a caretaker has and how it can be stressful, so I hope to help with that stress.
