I have been a nanny for young children since I was 18 years old. I have been a babysitter since I was about 15 years old.  About four years ago my Grandma took a very bad fall.  She broke her hip and elbow during the fall.  She was in rehab for about a month.  When she returned home she needed constant care.  She was still incredible fragile.  I administred her medications, helped her use the restroom, ran errands for her and just kept her company.  Thank goodness she is much better now because it was hard to see my grandma in pain.  I enjoyed taking care of my grandma because it felt good to make her happy and comfortable.  I have experience working with special need children which requires lots of patience and understanding.  I have always loved to help anyone who needs help.  The elderly are such wonderful people to work with.  Just because they may have regressed a bit doesn't mean they are any less important in the world.  My patience, fun spirit and responsibilty are just some of the characteristic that I know would be helpful to someones loved one.
