I would make an excellent choice if your elderly Mom is in need of someone to spend time with them. I have done this for my friend who’s Mom was in her 80’s and had dementia. I also have my own Mom who will be 80 this year and is my best friend. My Mom lives in Michigan and with the help of my older brother who lives with her, she is still able to fly on a direct flight to visit. Her visit is always for at least one or two months. I get the honor of caring for her, I am at her beck and call. I will color her hair, play her favorite dice game as well as take her for daily walks. She is the reason that I am the woman and Mom that I am today. I should also mention that I am an excellent cook. I’m know that it can be lonely as our Mom’s get older and having someone to come over periodically and spend time with them can help their spirit.
