In hospice care I had patients with cognitive disorders that could not regulate or control their emotions. AS a middle school teacher I also had students that frequently became verbally aggressive. While other volunteers and teachers responded with anger, I would listen and wait patiently with empathy, allowing the resident or student to yell, insult and finish their outburst. My experience supervising students and working in healthcare has taught me to handle emotional situations with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help. I can perform a variety health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services essential to the health. I also have experience with transfers and ambulation for physically impaired patients.
