Sal’s Bio
I have been a retired high school teacher for the last three years. I am rested after many years in a rewarding, yet high demand position. I am now looking for something outside of education to contribute to people's lives while supplementing my income.
My reward will not be from the monetary salary, but from the knowledge of helping other people, this is what brings me satisfaction and fulfillment. I did recently work for a social service non-profit, but sadly, though I loved working with the clients, the work atmosphere was unprofessional and coarse.
It did give me, however valuable experience in being an effective caregiver. I woulld list my list the following as my strengths:
Genuinely loving and friendly with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
High ethical standards such as integrity and responsibility.
Grounded. At my age, I have rid myself of the ego and narcississm that plagues many in our times. The job is always about the service to others, not about me.
Lastly, because of my warm heart, I always treat people with kindness and respect, I expect the same of whoever may employ me. I will not not tolerate being spoken to in a harsh, condenscending, or disrespectful manner. I am okay with taking it from someone I am serving, but not from someone else who thinks they can treat me poorly simply because they pay me. That is what it was like at a recent non-profit and will not be accepted. As long as you have good manners at all times, we should fine.
