I have worked with one elder whom I learned a lot about patience and what it means to be present for someone. I enjoyed sharing the silence, having a nice conversation and anticipating his needs without having to ask on his last 6 months with us.
I prepared food for him, helped him get up for the restroom and read to him a lot. It was a great experience and although I only happened to work with him because I was a Nanny for the family, it is something I can see myself doing again. Having the kids around was the best part of his day, they keep them young and feel loved.
