I recently went through an eight week course to get my CNA (certified nursing assistant) license. I worked with Avalon long term care center for a little over two years. Throughout my shift I assisted the elderly with their daily activities under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse and other medical staff. From bathing, assisting with meals and eating, retaining vital signs, and making sure the patients were under the best care and supervision as possible. I really enjoyed my work as a CNA, but would like to get more involved in home health.
I have babysat in the past, along with babysitting nieces and nephews. I would really like to get involved with caring for children and babies more, as well.
