I enjoy being a caregiver because I think older adults have a lot to give society. I enjoy conversations and learning from individual perspectives and the accumulated advice that is acquired over a lifetime. I have 4 years' experience working with a disabled woman. I don't have any formal skills or training, but I do enjoy spending time with others, and I am a good listener. I am always up for doing any kind of activity. Whether it be playing a game, listening to music, arts and crafts or just having a nice discussion over coffee or tea. I also have a car so we can do errands or do anything that sounds fun. I am very conscientious, and I constantly check on the surroundings to provide a safe environment in public as well as in the home. My demeanor is calm and reassuring as well as supportive. Overall, I am quite easy going and helpful and always receptive to all feedback so that I can help to provide a special and meaningful experience with everyone that I work with.
