Shaylee’s Bio
I am very energetic and love moving around in which will be helpful when engaging with rambunctious children. In addition I am very empathetic as I continue my degree in psychology at the University of California Irvine. I can employ this trait when talking with children to make them feel like they matter and that I understand their needs and ideas. In addition I have superb organization skills and have a overall calm persona, that being said with children running around I will be able to handle any arising issues with children yet still maintain order within the home!
Although I do not have experience working with children professionally, I do routinely take care of my brother’s two children in their home; one who is 7 years old and the other who is 5 with Apraxia, a disease in which impedes the development of speech. My job entails feeding them morning through night, getting them to bed, playing with them or coming up with activities in which they would enjoy (dance parties, coloring contests etc.) which I truly do find excitement in.
