I have not been a care companion on a professional level before however, I have dealt with the public for more than 30 years. I am happiest when I can work with people, and find helping people extremely rewarding. I did care for my elderly mother for a year before she passed and assisted her in a variety of ways including preparing meals, shopping, paying bills, running errands, taking her to doctor appointments etc. Although I do not have formal training as a companion, I believe my compassion for people is the most important aspect of any companion position. I am a "military brat" who relates to all types of people, I am reliable and organized. I take initiative without being managed,energetic and upbeat.
