Hello! My name is Tatum and I grew up in Wisconsin on a hobby farm. In high school I worked as a babysitter before moving to Minneapolis. Once in Minneapolis, I worked in the Downtown YMCA Preschool while attending Augsburg University where I got a degree/certification in music therapy. I also have experience working as a substitute preschool/school age assistant teacher. I think this experience taught me how to adapt quickly to new environments. After completing undergrad, I began practicing as a music therapist. Within a music therapy context, I have experience with children, adolescents, adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities, and elders in long term care/hospice settings. In December I decided to resign from my position at a senior living facility as an activity director to pursue music therapy again. In this position, I worked with elders in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. Elders, specifically with memory care needs, hold a special place in my heart. I have a passion for working with people of all ages and would love to get to know you and your family! I think of myself as a fun loving, creative, and easy going person. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and camping with my dog, Banjo, exploring the Denver metro area, playing music, and spending time with friends and family.
