Marissa T. Care Companion in Denver, CO 80252

Hello everyone! I’m Marissa I have been a nurse assistant for four years and I’m currently in my first semester of nursing school! I enjoy being able to help people achieve their goals and to feel better about themselves. I worked in a skilled nursing facility for 6 months where I learned how to help patients with daily activities such as; bathing, dressing, exercising, and linen changes. I then transitioned to a hospital setting on a cardiac unit, where for 2 years and 6 months. I learned how to be proactive and problem solve in high stress situations. I worked close with Physical Therapy and Occupational therapy, they helped me gain knowledgeable information on how to safely transport a patient and shared exercises that patients can do to increase strength. I currently work on an med-oncology unit at UC health while attending nursing school. I thoroughly enjoy being a caregiver and want nothing but the best for all my patients !
