Hello! I have professional caregiving experience for two years, and caregiving for family members for 10 years. With all the work I have done, I have decided that caregiving is my favorite! For caregiving work, I have worked in an assisted living/memory care home, as well as in-home healthcare. My favorite thing about caregiving is getting to know the individual I am caring for, and just talking with them. I have experience caring for elderly individuals with dementia, psychiatric disorders (like bipolar, anxiety, depression, and trauma), and even individuals with developmental disabilities like Autism. In the past, I’ve also worked as a job coach for adults with disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Autism, and more. I also have experience with physical disabilities. I have my first aid/ARD/CPR certificate, as well as my QMAP certificate (qualified medication administration person), so I am knowledgeable in medication, and administration. Through all my work, I am able to help with mobility, transfers, bathing, self-care, feeding, toileting, other ADLs, and of course companionship. I am comfortable with transporting the individual as well, as I have been transporting children, disabled adults, and seniors for five years now. My car is reliable, and I am a non-smoker. Any pets are totally fine with me, as I have 10 years of pet care experience as well.
