Hi, I am Sophia! Everyone I know says I am the oldest 27 year old they've ever known, due to my love of activities and care one would expect from their grandmother. Though I do not have any paid experience with adult caregiving/companionship, I have been a full-time homemaker the last 4+ years, and before that I cared for my dad every day for 5 years due initially to his severe epilepsy, and then his stage 4 cancer as well. Spending time with him and knowing he felt cared for, listened to, and like he mattered was my biggest light in what became the darkest time in my life. Everyone deserves to feel that they are not a burden, that the people who care for them wouldn't rather be anywhere else in the world than right there with them. I felt honored to provide that the best I could and I would be honored to provide it to others who need it as well. Though I do not have any degrees or medical training, I do have many years of experience in day-to-day companionship and homemaking, such as food preparation, nutrition management, housekeeping, listening and conversation skills (some of my main interests being sewing, embroidery, ships, history, etc lends to this as well), and more, as well as lots of experience with emergency situations and assisting with different medical needs to an appropriate degree, such as medication reminders, TPN infusions, caring for someone with memory issues, and more. I love to help others and approach situations with compassion and a gentle touch.
