Renata’s Bio
My past care giving experiences are all in relation to taking care of family members. In particular, I took care of my grandmother for over a year after she had bladder surgery and was with her when she finally lost her battle with cancer. I also have experience working with individuals with dementia. I enjoy spending time with older individuals, listening to their stories and sharing in everyday special moments. I am also a mom of two small children and was an English language teacher in Poland before I became a parent. I believe common sense and a sense of humor can go a long way in coping with daily challenges. I am a lifelong learner who is also an avid reader, gardener, cook, and bread baker. I also enjoy ballroom dancing and singing traditional Polish folk songs. I have a cheerful, friendly personality and caring for others is never just a chore, but hopefully will be an emotionally rewarding experience for us both.
