Caring for the elderly is not simply a responsibility to me, it’s a joy, a calling, and a source of deep fulfillment. I have a soft spot for older adults and find genuine happiness in spending time with them, listening to their stories, and helping in the ways they need most. My grandma and great-aunt are my whole world; they’ve taught me that aging isn’t about losing independence but it’s about finding new ways to stay connected, inspired, and supported.
I approach caregiving with a calm and patient understanding, knowing that many elders are navigating a phase of life that brings unique challenges. Whether it's assisting with medications, keeping their minds and bodies active, or simply creating a space where they feel heard and respected, I aim to make every moment meaningful. I love bringing the outside world to them (sharing news) , new ideas, or just light-hearted conversation in a stress-free and compassionate way.
Their wisdom is a gift, and every day I spend in their company adds richness to my own life. Being a caregiver isn’t just about tasks but it’s about relationships. And for me, those relationships are everything.

We had a wonderful experience with Kayla! She was reliable and instantly connected with our child. She kept everything clean and organized, followed our instructions perfectly, and even went above and beyond to keep our little one engaged and happy. We felt completely at ease knowing our child was in such great hands. Highly recommend!
Kayl-Rose was an absolute godsend during my weekend night shifts. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve managed without her during a time of being a single mom.. She took care of my 2-year-old son, Liam, Friday through Sunday afternoons, often staying from 7:30 PM until 1:30 or even 2 AM. Despite the late hours, she was always cheerful, dependable, and ready to give Liam all the attention he needed. He lit up when she arrived, which made me feel at ease heading off to work. I made sure to compensate her well because her time and dedication were genuinely appreciated. There’s something about Kayla that just clicks with little ones: she’s playful but also soothing, and I could tell Liam felt safe with her. I’d recommend her in a heartbeat! She’s more just overall amazing.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Kayla! She babysat my two daughters, ages 3 and 7, and from the moment she stepped into our lives, everything felt brighter. Her energy is absolutely amazing she brings positivity into every interaction and the girls fell in love with her instantly. What truly sets her apart is the beautiful sense of order she brings, inspired by her St. Lucian upbringing. She introduced us to the magic of timers, structured schedules, and intentional routines, which have completely transformed our home. I had never used schedules before, but after seeing how smoothly things ran under her guidance, I became a total believer.
Her commitment to learning is another gem. Kayla would set up these 30-minute learning session for the girls, and made learning feel fun, not forced. Her experience caring for her younger siblings has clearly given her incredible instincts, patience, and the ability to truly connect with children on their level. I honestly feel like she became part of our family. She’s the kind of babysitter who doesn’t just show up but she leaves a lasting impact. We miss her terribly and can’t wait for her to return to Connecticut. Until then, we’re counting down the days. Anyone lucky enough to work with Kayla is in for something really special. She’s not just a babysitter, she’s a joy, a mentor, and a light in any child’s life.
