I was the caregiver of my husband’s aunt. She moved in with my husband, our 4 children and me when she was diagnosed with dementia. She had dementia that turned into Alzheimer’s. I gave her all of her meds daily, took care of her finances and took her to doctors appointments. She also had cancer that advanced quickly so I took complete care of her when she was bed bound and in home hospice care. I have experience working in assisted living facilities helping seniors with day to day life, from turning on a light to full bedridden care.
