About three years ago I started my volunteer work with Hospice. My volunteer work inspired me to obtain specialized training in issues facing the elderly. Certifications include Certified Senior Advisor, Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Senior Real Estate Specialist, Advanced Care Directives, and elder mediation.
I continue to take additional training as offered by hospice, currently the bulk of my assignments are companion and respite care for individuals in private homes. I am also trained in Transitions. Hospice requires a Level-2 background check for the safety of all patients.
