I am a mature Delray Beach woman who is loving, nurturing, dependable, reliable, trustworthy, honest and responsible who has been doing home health care for over 20 years. I am certified in CPR and First Aid and have a recent background check.
My experiences include Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, MS, Stroke victims, balancing problems, food preparation, medication management, doctor's appointments, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship.
I am currently caring for an 78 year old woman with memory problems 3 days a week. My job is to keep her busy during the day so her husband has some time off. I take her to lunch, to the movies, flea markets, malls, shopping and anything else she would like to do. I do laundry, give her breakfast, and make sure she takes her meds.
I also care for a 95 year old woman on Sundays.
I am seeking a 3 or 4 full day position in one home.
I have several reference letters that I can provide.

We came into town for a medical visit and needed a babysitter pronto!
Barbara came right on time (at very short notice!) and was great with our 3year old. Now he's a thunderbolt but Barbara cared for him for about 7 hours and kept him safe all through.
Will definitely use her again should the need arise.

Barbara did a great job helping us care for our 16month old daughter as well as our family dog while we were away. She even went above and beyond and surprised us by helping us with our laundry while Emeline was sleeping! Unfortunately the hours that my husband and I work are not the traditional hours and our schedules would change last minute, which wasn't conducive to Barbara's schedule. We still keep in touch with Barbara and use her on occasion. She is a gem and you will be lucky to have her become a part of your family!
