Being a caregiver is very close to my heart considering my little brother has Down Syndrome. I’ve taken care of him for the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a special education para professional at an all special needs collaborative school, I’ve worked at a camp for special needs children as a 1 to 1 aid, I’ve worked as a 1 to 1 aid in multiple settings. I’ve helped manage local special Olympics events. It has part of my life since as long as I can remember, and truly brings me so much joy.
