Hi, I’m JJ. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, along with years of experience supporting individuals and families through different seasons of life. I am also the mother of a 17 year old senior, and raising him as a single mother while putting myself through school and building my career has shaped the way I care for others with patience, structure, compassion, and steady support.

I have over 20 years of overall caregiving experience through nanny work, along with about 5 years of companion care experience. Companion care is meaningful to me because I believe older adults deserve to be treated with dignity, patience, respect, and genuine kindness. They are part of our past and present. The storytellers, the wisdom-keepers, the ones who have lived through chapters many of us are still learning from and I believe they deserve care that honors the life they have lived.

My background has helped me bring emotional awareness, clear communication, dependability, and a calm presence into the home. I am comfortable providing companionship, conversation, light household support, simple routines, errands, meal support, organization, and a peaceful presence throughout the day.

Although my professional background is in counseling, I am currently seeking something outside of that field in this season of life. Caregiving has always been meaningful to me because it allows me to support others in a practical, personal, and human way. I would love the opportunity to connect and see how we may be a good fit for one another.
