i My name is Suzanne and I spent the last 3 years providing Live in care for my 82yr old Mother, we had interviewed a variety of Home Care providers and didn't find the right fit so I decided to be her Full time care provider and was grateful to have that time to care for her.
Initially she had several debilitating Strokes and was hospitalized and in a Nursing Care facility. She had ongoing problems with Dementia and early stages of Alzheimer s . I provided medication management and did all the grocery shopping , cooking and meal Prep. She wasn't able to feed herself and had some difficulty chewing so I had to prepare special meals for her.. I provided personal care for her for she wasn't able to take care of herself. This type of Full-time position takes a very positive and patience attitude and I realized I had the perfect temperament for being a Companion Care provider and found it to be incredibly fulfilling.
I have raised two wonderful boys and they are now off to college giving me time to pursue the type of position I feel passionate about and that is rewarding. Outside of raising my two Amazing children the time I spent being unconditionally there for my Mother was an absolute highlight of my life.
I realized there is such a need for quality selfless care for the Elderly in the privacy and comfort of their own home.. As difficult it was my Mother passed away in 2014 but to be able to have her at home and be there for her made a difficult time a positive experience
