Hello,
My name is Victoria. I just moved here from Bradenton/Sarasota area. I have been taking care of my 92 year old father. He had a stroke about 2 years ago and lost all mobility in his right side. He did physical therapy for the coupled of months in a rehab facility, then he wanted to come home and they came to the our home twice a week for about an hour for about two months. He needed help feeding himself and putting on his clothes and shoes, taking showers, lifting, etc. Then my father decided he did not want them to keep coming. So I learned all the steps watching the therapist and started doing the same things with him myself. Arm and leg excercises, Lifting, feeding him, bathing him, etc. It was very hard taking care of my father, doing the things a daughter would never expect to do, but he soon could do things on his own. He had dimensia and hearing and vision loss.
So as you can see I have some experience in caretaking and I am a very sweet and loving person, willing to do what it takes.
