Katrin’s Bio

I was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany. Being self employed for 28 years, working in our family owned business, not only taught me how to run a company successfully, from scratch, but also everything about food preparation, processing and of course cleaning up whenever needed. Unfortunately my husband was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and we had to give up our company, so I could become his full time caretaker. I basically did everything needed to keep the household running, including body hygiene, later on parenteral nutrition and palliative care. My biggest strengths are my typical german traits of being very well organized, punctuality and reliability. I’m also able to stay focused and pragmatic in stressful situations.
My first visit to the US, dates back to 1986, when I spend a year in Highschool, as an exchange student and I have come back as a tourist ever since. I now live in the US permanently since February 2020, I have completed my official immigration process and received my work permit (Greencard) in March 2021- ready to finally get back to work!
Being housebound, not allowed to work this past year, I took the opportunity to improve my cooking and housekeeping/working skills, to the delight of my husband:)
