After deciding that Nicole may be a good fit for our son with Autism, and exchanging several messages, I had given her a list of upcoming dates to check her availability. She confirmed the dates would all work, unless she got a job, then the weekday dates would not. She agreed to let me know if she did indeed find a job.

She cancelled our 1st meeting/babysitting appointment, and asked if she could “come the next day”. I was understanding, and made arrangements for her to come later in the week. When she left, I confirmed the future dates, and sent her a text that evening, to be sure she had all the necessary info in writing to refer back to. In total we had discussed the dates that I needed her 3 times.
On the next scheduled date, I texted her at 10 am to confirm, and again at 1:30, when I did not here back from her. I called her at 2:30. She was supposed to be here at 4. We had a formal dinner party to be at by 5:30. We sat, all dressed, and waited until 5, and then had to call and cancel. I did not receive a text, or a phone call, or a message via Sittercity. It has been 2 days, and still absolutely nothing. This is extremely irresponsible and inconsiderate. We were of course disappointed about canceling our plans, but mostly felt terrible about having to back out at the last minute, when the hosts had put so much effort into planning this dinner party. At this point she has put us in quite the bind for this coming week as well. Had she just had the decency to text/message/call, I could have considered one of the other sitters that applied. I would urge you to STRONGLY consider giving any of the other sitters a chance. If you are looking for a responsible, reliable person, Nicole is not the one.
