Maria’s Bio
I am a retired U.S. Army Commissioned Officer with a Bachelors and Masters in Education. Since retiring in 2015, I have worked in various Industries. From 2016-2019, I worked for the Manatee County School District as a 5th grade teacher (Title One) and in a VPK special needs room. From 2019-2021, I worked for a local nonprofit as their Director of Programs and HR Manager. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and need to take on a more flexible schedule. I have an 18 year special needs daughter so I am familiar with the joys and challenges of a special needs child, and welcome both.
