I am a home health aide, with cpr and and first aid training. I have a father with Alzheimers and a grandmother who had dementia that I helped care for before she passed. I have a background in early childhood education and worked with special needs students as well. I have an Associate in Arts in Education and an Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education. I have worked as a medical secretary and I like working with elderly and children. I like assisting people and ensuring they have what they need but also that they have a smile on their face or can laugh. I think it is important to try to get some fresh air and exercise whenever possible and to try to socialize even if it is making a phone call or writing a letter. I also believe in routine and also allowing the individual to try and encourage self care but to be there to ensure their safety.
