I had many jobs during high school, but one of my favorites was companion care with an elderly woman who lived across the street from us. I helped with house work, medication management, but also spent the time to chat with her and she inspired me to make a bucket list and pursue my passions.
I also had experience over one summer staying with an elderly man who mostly just needed companionship. We would watch tv together, talk, but I also helped with basic housework, dishes, and meal prep.
Other than both of those experiences, my father has Parkinson's and I will fly home every now and then to help him with anything and everything he needs.
