Hi 👋! My name is Maggie. I’ve worked most of my career as a nurse on a busy medical/surgical floor in a Tampa hospital.
I finished my career as a nurse as the Director of Nursing at an Assisted Living Facility.
Prior to becoming a nurse I worked in Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes as either an Admissions or Marketing Director, so my whole adult career has been spent helping, interacting, and caring for others (emphasis on the adult and senior community).
I am able to help with many tasks including BP/Pulse/PulseOx check, medication check, Blood Glucose check (if the client has the machine and correct supplies)…if more strength is needed, an extra set of hands for generalized help (light repair/lawn) or for someone who responds better to a man…my husband of 25 years helps as well. He worked as an EMT on an ambulance for 15 years and finished his career still serving his community through the county.
Our oldest graduated high school and is leaving for fire college soon. They say, “empty nesters” is a thing…well I decided I’m trying to do something for myself (proactively) and caring for people is what comes most naturally.
