Shirley’s Bio
I was an educator for all age groups most of my life and have decided to become a caregiver now I finished raising my sons.
I have a background in special education and worked with severe and profoundly intellectually disabled and physically disabled children in education. I also worked with this population in a home care setting for several years. My terminally ill father received in home care help which was a very positive experience for him. This led to my decision to transfer into this line of work.
My varied experiences enable me to adapt quickly to new routines; in addition, I have a strong desire to serve others with compassion.
