Deborah’s Bio
I became an "unofficial" caregiver when my best friend became physically challenged after a series of back and neck operations leaving her increasingly unable to complete routine tasks that most of us are able to do. I shopped for her, managed her finances, took her to appointments, and helped her with other activities around the that she could not manage. I would go into the medical appointments with her for support as well as another ear to listen to information from the doctore and medical personnel. One of the skills from my career as a special education teacher that I have maintained is the skill to assess needs and provide for them. I was also a caregiver to her mother after an operation that rendered her disabled as well.
