I was a Resident Aide/ Med Tech, My responsibilities were passing medications, feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transferring wheelchair bound residents, laundry, and everyday charting on residents.
While working at Southern Gardens I received an award for employee of the year and also got employee of the month two times. I was well known by the residents and their families as the most caring and compassionate Resident Aide/ Med Tech, most of them thought of me as family.
Also while working at Southern Gardens i worked my way up to the Housekeeping Supervisor. My responsibilities then were to maintain a monthly budget, keeping inventory, ordering products, creating a weekly staff schedule, hiring new staff, cleaning residents rooms, bathrooms, cleaning offices, maintaining the main lobby, laundry, I filled in for my staff when they called off, maintaining the cleanliness of the building.
