I've cared for an average of 7 different clients. I've been a caregiver for roughly 10 years. I love taken care of the elderly, they have some unique story's and makes me laugh and client.. I perform light housekeeping, meal preparing, assist with bathing, doctors appts, helping with putting on cloths, And most of all companionship with the client. I'd recently work with a lady she was a quadriplegic she got around really well. I basically helped her with meal pre, bathing, errands, doctors appts, She'd like flowers we'd go to home depot or Lowes and it had too be pink flowers. We had fun. I'd also have expertise with dementia my Dad had it. A month before he passed away I was called to his home his wife had too go in hospital. Boy that was an experience I'd had he was up all night long with the flashlight shining in and out peoples windows. I'd said Dad you can't do all that. I got him finally too lay down, he was back up in a flash. I really didn't realize he'd had dementia or I didn't want too.
