I have worked with Developmentally Disabled Adults with Severe Aggressive Behaviors for 24 years. I was Administrator for 2 six bed group homes and Program Director for a 36 bed and a 74 bed facility in California. I have written Programs for facilities so they would receive Specialized Services in the homes from the state. I had my own home which had 3 adult Brothers for 4 years which I am happy to say that they were able to go into Independent Living Program. Working with Developmentally Disabled has been my passion since I was 16 at which time I volunteered at a State Hospital. I had to give up my career to help my family with medical problems and then raised my niece for her first 11 years. I am now going through a divorce and have moved from California to Georgia and would love to get back into the field where my heart is. I have also taught Behavior Modifaction and developed behavior programs to decrease inappropriate behaviors. I had a good line of communication with the Regional Centers and the State of California. I miss working and would love the opportunity to be a part of this field here in Georgia.
