This experience means everything to me. I don’t have any “Certifications “ but I do have years of experience in caring for and being a companion for the elderly. My own mother was the most important person to me and I was her caregiver for 10 years because she could no longer live alone and take care of herself. I bathed and clothed her, cooked her meals, groom her hair and nails, took her to doctor appointments and other outings, washed and changed her bed linens and clothes, took her to fun events and church, grocery shopped and so much more. I also assisted a few other residents of Big Bethel Assisted living. My Mother passed away November 11, 2019 of natural causes. She often said she was just tired. She was 87 years old. This may not be the best experience to some but I don’t think you can get any better experience and training than taking care of your parents which is what I did.
