At Merakey (Allegheny Valley School) I work with people who have disabilities. At AVS It is my job to make sure that they are very well taken care of. Some of the things that I do their is feed them, bath them, changing their attends when they are wet. Every once in a while I am asked to go on a hospital trip when one of the clients from the building needs to be sent out for any reason the nurses say. Everyday I had to make sure that the goal plan and the Bowel movement book was done before leaving the shift at the end of the day. I also had to lift and transfer clients from their wheelchair, standers, and into bed. I was trained on a two person lift and one person lift. I was also shown how to stand clients who can still stand on their own.
