Although my experience is somewhat limited, I believe it you aren't looking necessarily for certification or licensed nurses, I may be able to help you. To be perfectly honest, my only hesitation is that you mentioned difficulty swallowing.

I'm 56, and a year ago I had some A-Fib issues. A defibrillator and tweaking of the heart (CHF), and suddenly I feel better than I have for literal decades.

Prior to that drama, my mom had breast cancer (I took to every appointment) that metastisized to her brain. She had a headache and we went to the Dr. Long story short- there were 8 tumors and a prognosis of 3-9 months AND from that moment fwd, she couldn't be left alone again. My house was across town but I moved in w her that day and I was lucky enough to spend 6 months enjoying her company despite almost daily visits from hospice.

I also cared for my nieces aunt who had dementia. She was more difficult for obvious reasons. She eventually had to go to a care facility in Roswell, but for well over a year she was managed by my niece and myself.
