As the result of a reduction in workforce after a long and successful career I thought about my future and what I would like to do. It is important to me to do something that makes a difference. My caregiver experience began with helping care for my step-father with dementia and assisting in his hospice care. More recently, I assisted with the care of my in-laws, both of whom were in failing health due to cancer and my father in law suffered from dementia. Upon the passing of my mother in law, I brought my father in law home to live with us. I cared for all of his needs on a daily basis and provided hospice for him when he succumbed to his illness.

I consider myself to be a compassionate and caring person. I wish to provide one on one companionship. Shopping, light housekeeping, yardwork, gardening, helping with pet care, cooking are all within the scope of services. I can also teach computer skills such as email, Microsoft Office, Facebook, Google, etc. if the client is interested in learning.
