I am a Respite care provider skilled at remaining calm under pressure while keeping the home setting light and playful. I work hard to identify and address behavioral and educational issues. Patient and dedicated person enthusiastic about working with children of all ages. Able to distract a child when their emotions are unstable to make them feel safe and happy. I do have 2 children of my own who have special needs themselves. My daughter has Asthma, I am well aware of using a Nebulizer and all medications associated with her medical needs. My Son is diagnosed with ADHD non-hyperactive, i am also well aware of all his medical and emotional needs. Being a mother of 2 with special medical needs, I've become determined to be more aware and have in-depth knowledge of their diagnoses. I have a huge heart and full of compassion towards children with special needs. Being a military spouse I've come to know plenty of families who have dependents with special needs. A year into my stay at Fort Stewart I provided care for 3 military families who had with special needs kids. One family in particular the mother who is a RN she was able to break down each one of her children's diagnosis and I observed and assisted in the administration of Schedule II medications. I've gained trust and respect from the families and children I've cared for over the past 12 years. I am eager work with many more families to become an impact in their children's lives. I can provide consistency and daily routines that is necessary for the families. I thrive to continue the parents love/compassion of their children while under my care, whether the parent is in/out side the home. Being a mother myself I do know having the sense of security that your child is receiving the best care that they are offered and their child is safe it a big part of trusting a child care individual with your loved ones
