I have CNA training completed. I have clinical experience in nursing home care. I also have personal experience caring for my grandmother who had Alzheimers and a stroke. I loved my grandmother so much. I assisted her to wheelchair, used lift as her condition progressed for transfers and showers. I did her tube feedings and cleaned her PEG site. Activities of daily living, feeding, changing, bathing, dressing. The most valuable part was the bond we shared and just spending time with her. I understand that while illness takes hold, in many cases the person can understand things around them, regardless of communication abilities. They deserve respect, love, companionship, and proper care for their skin, health, and overall dignity. I understand the importance of changing their briefs timely to prevent skin breakdown and the need for timely repositioning to prevent bed sores and provide comfort. I have 4 children of my own and understand how hard it can be to find a caring trustworthy person to care for the ones you love most. Currently Im completing my last 2 prerequisite classes and passed my Hesi A2 exam with the goal of attending Registered Nursing School. I have high morals, am compassionate, and trustworthy. I would be happy to learn your routines and preferences and provide your family member with the love and care they deserve. I am capable of preparing meals and light house keeping. I would be glad to read to your family member or finds ways to engage them according to things they enjoy. My religion is Christianity in which I have strong faith. I am looking for a morning position with hours ending around 2pm so that I am able to be home for my children when their school day ends. Thank you for your consideration.
