My name is Ally, and I am a full-time nightshift Registered Respiratory Therapist at Candler Hospital. I work with babies from delivery all the way up to adult critical care/in-facility end of life care. I was temporarily the primary caregiver for my grandfather who is 100% disabled and wheelchair bound with dementia after my grandma passed. Duties included bathing, toileting, transferring, medication passing, mealtimes, and nighttime routines. I have had three grandparents that I have helped care for over the years that were diagnosed with different forms of dementia, and am very comfortable helping with memory care needs as well. I do not shy away from confused and upset older adults, as I handle this on a nightly basis at my full time job (they are the ones who need the most love and patience!). I love working with little ones, but I have always had a heart for the elderly/disabled.
