Jenna’s Bio
l'm happy to have a long history of sitting with children and the elderly. l have 15 nieces and nephews and l am an honorary aunt to several others. My education in visual arts has been supplemented with studies in early childhood education, communication sciences and yoga. l am currently the Outreach Coordinator for Savannah Speech & Hearing where l host a support group for adult stroke and TBI survivors and l lead our hearing screening outreach efforts in our community's local schools. Our center also operates an early intervention auditory/verbal program for deaf children and while l am NOT a therapist, my observations and support of this program have been insightful and inspiring.
l love kids and enjoy reading, making art, playing games and practicing yoga with them. l think it is of the utmost importance to treat children with respect and reassurance, to speak to them intelligently and to in turn, listen to them. My hope is to make our time together full of fun!
