Disclaimer: I volunteer with Special Olympics & Animal Adoption events as well! However, I began volunteering at Lake Park Nursing Home in Ohio with my mother at the age of 6! (Gives me 30 +yrs experience!) Before I knew it, I was volunteering 2-4 x a week & assisted in opening an Alzheimer's Clinic under her direction. (Among doing Meals on Wheels, MS events, etc.) I have a soft spot in my heart for the elderly & I treat them the way I do my Gramma (who just turned 100 in July and whom I absolutely adore!) My Mom has since passed, but being involved & doing activities with the elderly helps me keep her memory alive. I truly find joy in showing love & attention to the elderly, animals & children as well!
