Hello, I am Kate! I absolutely love people! Ever since I was little, I loved hearing the stories my grandparents would tell me. When I was a teenager, my dad ran a skilled nursing home. He let my siblings and I volunteer in the activities department. It was my favorite playing games with the elderly! Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been working as a Direct Support Professional for adults with special needs. I have received training on how to aid those with behavioral, physical, and cognitive disabilities. I have also been CPR certified and have received my Food Handlers permit from the state of Utah. This job has inspired me to further my education to become a licensed Recreational Therapist! I am so excited to continue my training.
