My name is Maria and I'm currently completing my MSW at UIC. I am Bilingual, I can speak, read, and write in English and Spanish. I have a passion for working with people with disabilities, ranging from kiddos to the elderly! My brother is on the Spectrum so I know the personal challenges a family with a special needs child faces and would love to help out in whatever way I can. I also have experience working with a wide range of developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities as well. I have worked as a nursing assistant and recreation aide in a home for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities for 3 years. I have also worked as an ABA line therapist for the past year with kiddos. I am very enthusiastic and am always ready to help!
